1. 教师出示PPT，展示两张图片，一张是生日宴会的图片，另一张是生日蛋糕的图片。

T：Boys and girls, look at the picture. What can you see?

S: Birthday party

T：Yes, very good. Look at the second picture. What can you see?

S: Birthday cake

T：Ok, now let’s listen to the tape

2.教师引导学生听对话，教师播放录音，让学生在听的过程中听关键字。

3.教师核对听力答案。

Let’s talk

1.教师播放录音，让学生带着以下问题听录音：

(1)What’s Oliver’s favorite season?

(2) Why does Oliver like the season best?

(3)When is the trip this year?

(4)Where will they go in this year?

2.教师第二遍播放录音，学生找问题答案。

3.教师与学生一起学习课文。

4.学生两人一组，分角色表演对话。

(三)Practice

1. T: Hello, everyone. Do you love your mum?

S: Yes.

T: What will you do for your mum on Mother’s day?

教师请几位学生说说自己为母亲做过的事情。

S：sing a song say “Happy birthday to you ”

2. 教师进一步拓展母亲节的文化知识。

3. 教师带领学生认读一下选项：

Cook、 make a card、 sing to her 、say “thank you” 、write a letter 、tell her a story、play the pipa for her.

4. 教师将学生分成两人一组来进行对话练习：

A：What will you do for your mother on mother’s Day?

B: I’ll cook for my mother. what about you?

A：I’ll make a card.
