Potato chips were invented in 1853 by a chef. They were invented by mistake .One day , a customer sent back his fried potatoes because he thought they were too thick.. At that time , the chef was on duty and he was in bad mood .he wanted to make the customer angry .So he cut them really thin and cooked them until they were crispy. He put into a lot of salt , too. But in the end ,the customer loved them very much. And till today ,we are still eating them .How cool!
