Pot calling kettle black

      In warring age,there were many kindoms in China fighting one another year by year,and the masses have no means to live .Mencius worried about this ,and decided to tour in these states,to persude the warlike kings for peace .

    He arrived at Liang Kingdom.and called on the  militant King Hui. 

   King Hui asked Mencius:"I have concentrated myself in state affair managing ,and cherished my people ,but there still has't a risen in population.Could you analyze the reason?"

   Mencius said, "Let's take the war as example. Two armies met at the  battlefield.A hand-in hand fight is inevitably.Final result of the war was that one side should fail ,and escape with equipments lost.There had two soldiers  in the escaping group,the slower one only escaped  50 steps away,whereas the quiker one escaped 100 steps away. Your majesty, can the slower one jeer at the quicker for being afraid of death?"

     "Of course no"King hui answered.Mencius said ,"your majesty,although you cherish your people.You like warring,and people suffered from this.I think this is similar with that slower 50 steps  soldier."
