          The southeaster came at last.As soon as Zhou Yu gave the order,Huang Gai headed north

with twenty boats carrying Oil-soaked brushwood. Cao Cao saw Huang Gai coming in the distan-

-ce and said happily,"With Huang Gai's help,Zhou Yu is a dead man."Cao Cao's advisor warned,

"The boats seem so light that they can't be carrying grain." Realizing the trap,Cao Cao ordered

that Huang Gai stop.But it was too late,Huang Gai shook his broadsword and twenty boats all

went up in flames.Pushed by the southeaster,the burning boats crashed into Cao Cao's riverside

camp.Soon the entire camp was on fire and the Changjiang River was also flaming.When CaoCao

turned back,he saw the burning camp.Zhou Yu sent six troops to set fire to block Cao Cao's escape

route.Cao Cao's big boat was on fire,too,and he fled in a small boat.Huang Gai pursued him,and

was gaining rapidly.Cao Cao was very anxious.Just then,Zhang Liao came with several small

boats.He drew his bow and hit Huang Gai .Huang Gai dropped into the water and Zhang Liao was

able to save Cao Cao.By the time Huang Gai was rescued,Cao Cao was already ashore.
