Tartan has without doubt become one of the most important symbols of Scotland and Scottish Heritage.

The Royal Stewart Tartan is the best known tartan of the royal House of Stewart, and is also the personal tartan of Queen Elizabeth II.

This tartan bears the name of the famous 42nd Royal Highland Regiment (The Black Watch), the premier Highland Regiment. The Black Watch 79th Highlanders now known as the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders.
