      She lives at the time when there was a war between England and France.Joan of Arc was important because she encouraged the old French king’s son to be crowed in Rheims as the true king of France.Joan also showed the French army how to win battles and inspire them with the confidence to win.

      At the time Joan lived it was considered wrong for women to fight in the army.But Joan argued that God had spoken to her and sent her to help the French army.When she was captured by the English,they did not believe her for fighting and wearing men’s clothes.After a trial she was put to death.We think that messagers came from her own head and helped her to do things which would otherwise be impossible for a girl to do at that time and in that society.She was very patriotic and did inspire the French to win against the English.
