Dialogue3 Who's your hero and why?

Who's your hero and why?
This is what some people in London told us:Some heroes are famous like a singer or a writer. Some are personal heroes - one woman says her hero is her mother. And what makes someone a hero? They can be a role model, a leader, someone you look up to and often they have been through a lot of problems in life before they succeeded.
These are archive recordings from BBC Learning English.
Presenter: Who's your hero and why?
Woman 1: I think maybe Antonia Fraser. She’s an author and she writes really excellent biographies, so I guess she’s a hero I look up to her.
Woman 2: I would say my mother because she's been through so much and she taught me that nothing is impossible if you really believe that what you want and what you have to do to overcome all the difficulties.
Presenter: What qualities do you think a hero should have?
Man 1: Needs to be a good role model to, like, the youth. I think that’s the most important thing.
Man 2: I think they shouldn’t care what other people think. I think they should have their own views. I think that's the important thing of all heroes.
