2.How Can you memorize English words?

How Can you memorize English words
People are not born with good memories. They develop them with practice. If we are going to learn a new language, we should be aware of how our memory works, so we don't waste time and effort. There are a number of techniques which we can learn in order to improve our memory.
What is your memory like? Do you consider it to be good, fair or poor? Of course,
you have a good enough memory to learn English. We all have. It is a question of establishing what memorizing techniques work best for you.
- Employ all your senses--try to see, hear, smell, feel and even taste the images you create.
- Exaggerate--make things look bigger or smaller than they really are; make sounds louder or softer; make smells stronger and make shapes and forms more unusual.
- Use color and movement--see things in glorious technicolor and make them move in a special way.
- Use humors--funny images are out of the ordinary and we all have a good memory for funny things.
Review and test yourself regularly. It's very easy to forget things when you aren't trying to remember them. Research suggests that students tend to forget 80% of the facts they have learned within two weeks of taking their exams. If you space your review of new language and new words at the right intervals, it's possible to keep your level of recall high. Some memory experts suggest that we have the following review intervals: first review after ten minutes; second review after 24 hours; third review after a week; fourth review after a month; fifth review after 6 months. Now it's time for you to think about how you can conduct your reviews and test your memories.
