Largest buildings in the world

Boeing's factory（波音工厂） in Everett, Washington, United States, is presently the largest building in the world by volume（体积）, while the Abraj Al-Bait Towers is the largest building in terms of total floor area（占地面积）. The surface area（表面积） of the proposed Crystal Island complex in Moscow（莫斯科） is more than double that of the largest current building, though this project has been delayed by the global economic crisis（全球经济危机）.

Upon its opening, the Abraj Al Bait Towers in Mecca, Saudi Arabia（沙特阿拉伯）, will take the record for the largest inhabited building in the world. It has the largest floor area of any structure in the world with 1,500,000 square metres of floorspace. They are also among the tallest buildings in the world at over 600 metres.
