The Hong Kong Museum of Art was established in 1962.It preserves(保留) the cultural heritage(遗产) of China. Its collections (收藏)now number in excess(超过) of 15,700 art objects(艺术作品), including Chinese paintings and antique(古董) Chinese treasures and so on.   The highlights(强调) of the collections are on display in the exhibition galleries. To maintain an essential international character(国际特色), the museum also presents a great variety of thematic(主题为) exhibitions drawn from local and overseas(海外) sources.
