One Minute

    “Ring, ring, ring!” The clock was alarming. Yuanyuan turned around, but he did get up at once. He told himself that he would get up in one minute. “Just one minute. I won’t be late.”
    After one minute, Yuanyuan got up. He got washed quickly and had a fast breakfast. He left for school with his bag. When he arrived at the crossroad, he was just crossing, but the traffic light turned green to red. He sighed and said, “If only one minute earlier.”
    He waited for a while to go across the crossroad. He ran to the bus at the bus stop. When he almost arrived, the bus left. He sighed again and said, “If only one minute earlier.”
    He waited and waited, but there was no sign of a bus. Finally Yuanyuan decided to go to school.

    When Yuanyuan arrived at school, class had begun. Yuanyuan’s face turned red and he lowered his head, seated at his seat. Mr. Li had a look at his watch, saying “Yuanyuan, you are late for 20 minutes.”
    Yuanyuan felt very regretful(后悔).
