Mum: Where's Jimmy?

Dad: He's in bed.

Mum: What's the matter with him?

Dad: He feels ill.

Mum: He looks ill. We must call the doctor.

Dad: Yes.

Mum: Can you remember the doctor's telephone number?

Dad: Yes. It's zero nine seven five four.

In the clinique



Doctor: Open your mouth, Jimmy. Show me your tongue. Say, “Ah”.

Mum: What's the matter with him, doctor?

Doctor: He has a bad cold, Mr. Williams, so he must stay in bed for a week.

Mum: This is good news for Jimmy.

Doctor: Good news? Why?

Mum: Because he doesn't like to go to school.

Doctor: How's Jimmy today?

Mum: Better. Thank you, doctor.

Doctor: Can I see him please, Mrs. Williams?

Mum: Certainly, doctor. Come upstairs.

Doctor: You look very well, Jimmy. You are better now, but you must stay in bed for another two days.

Mum: Does he have a temperature, doctor?

Doctor: No, he doesn't..He must remain in bed for another two days. He can get up for about two hours each day, but you must keep the room warm.

Doctor: Where's Mr. Williams this evening?
