Koalas are an Australian national icon. These animals are going to eat eucalyptus （桉树） tree leaves. A koala on average destroys 13 pounds of the leaves to eat 2 pounds a day.


The kangaroo has a pouch where babies live until they can jump. Baby kangaroos are only the size of your thumb （拇指） when they're born! They are going to eat grasses and leaves. Kangaroos live and travel in groups of up to 100. The kangaroo live in the woodlands （林区） and grasslands.
