D: Hello. My name is Ding Ding. I am a Computer Science freshman. We share the same dormitory, I suppose.

Xiao Fei: Hello. I am Xiao Fei. This is Chen Ge. We are both the freshmen in the Department of Civil Engineering. Ah, you have so much luggage. Let us give you a hand.

D: Thanks a lot. Where are you from?

X: I am from Wuhan .

D: Really! I'm also from Wuhan . We are town mates.

C: I'm from Kunming , Yunnan . Have you ever been there?

D: Yes, I went there last summer. It is a very nice place. I was deeply impressed by its fine weather and beautiful scenery.

C: I'm glad that you like it. The weather in Kunming is ideal, not very hot in summer nor very cold in winter. It is deadly hot here. I heard on the radio that the temperature is above 37C . The air is so thick that I feel I can't breathe. Is the heat bothering you?

D&X: Not really. We are quite used to it.

C: Oh. I forgot where you are from!

D Don't worry. It's supposed to rain tomorrow.

C: I hope so!
