A Parrot

    In 1977, an American scientist walked into a pet shop in the USA and bought a parrot. She named the parrot Alex and studied him. Now Alex can cought and knows some words. The scientists is still studying Alex today and they are both famous.

    Alex is very clever and learns quickly. He can say the names of some foods, colours and shapes. He can also count to six and is even learning the sounds of English letters. Alex knows more than very young children. Isn't he amazing?
