The teacher asked John,“ John, if I give you two rabbits and then two more rabbits and then two more rabbits, how many would you have?”
John said, “Seven”.
“Ok John,” the teacher said. “ Let’s try it another way. If I gave you two apples, plus two more apples, plus two more apples. How many apples would you have?”
“Six.” John said.
“Ok”, said the teacher. “Now if I gave you two rabbits, then two more rabbits, then two more rabbits. How many would you have?”
“Seven, Teacher,” John said.
“Why seven?” the teacher asked angrily.
John said, “ Because I already have one rabbit at home!”
