One day, Peter and Ann are talking about our great country.

Peter: China is a great country. It stands in the east of Asia. There are quite a few countries around it. It has the greatest population in the world.
Ann: There are a lot of high mountains and long rivers in China. The Himalayas is the highest in the world. The longest river is the Changjiang River and the second longest river is the Yellow River. 
Peter: China has many big cities, too, for example, Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and so on. China is an old country with a history of 5,000 years.
Ann: But it is also a young country because it has changed greatly in the late 20th century. The Chinese people are working hard to make their lives better than ever before.
