Birthday Surprise 
It is David's birthday. To him. his birthday is second best to Christmas. It is a day special just for him. He knows the date clearly--October 16. He is 13 today. 
David's father is a farmer. Their family is very big. David has two sisters and one brother. They are not very rich.
David's school is far from home. Every morning he gets up very early. After breakfast, he goes to school with his sisters. They walk to school every day.
David likes bikes very much. His classmates have bikes. Every day, they go to school by bike. David wishes to have a bike of his own.
After school, David goes home with his sisters. His mother cooks a birthday dinner for him. His father is not at home. David is a little upset.
Before dinner, Father comes back. He calls David to the yard. There stands a new bike. David is very happy now. He knows his father loves him. His mother and sisters come out. They sing Happy Birthday to David.
David is thirteen today. He is a big boy and he is very happy.
