Ms Pi: What sport do you go in for(参加), Tony?
Tony: I’d say it is baseball（棒球）. In the U.S., baseball is loved by many. In fact, it’s long been called “the national ball（国球）.”
Ms Pi: In China, it’s not very popular. How many members are there in one team?
Tony: A regulation baseball game consists of two opposing teams of nine members each.（正规的棒球比赛由两个队组成，每队9人） Well, what sport do you go in for?
Ms Pi: I’m absolutely mad（绝对迷恋） about tennis. But you may be surprised to hear I used to play in a women’s football team.
Tony: I think soccer’s much too tough（难） a game for women to play. But Chinese women’s soccer team is terrific（顶呱呱）! Do many women play it in China?
Ms Pi: I’d have to admit it’s not as widespread（普及） and popular as in Europe.
Tony: That’s the case in my country, too. Ms Pi, what would you say are the most popular sports in your country?
Ms Pi: Well, there can be no doubt（无疑） that table tennis and football are at the top of the list. -
