    Meeting and greeting people
Greeting is a common and simple thing in our life. But do you know in different countries, people greet to each other in different ways. For example, China is a nation of antiques. People always say “Where are you going?” or “Have you eaten yet?” when they meet their friends. In the Chinese culture, these are appropriate greetings, but if you greet an American by asking him or her like that, the American might feel very comfortable because these questions could be interpreted as an invasion of privacy.
In different countries, people are also doing in different manners when they greet to each other. For example, the Japanese women are bowing. The Spanish women are kissing each other on the cheek. And the American men are shaking hands.
