Dialogue 1:
Lily: Look, I have many stamps. And this is my favourite stamp.
Xiaoling: Is it a Japanese stamp?
Lily: That’s right.
Xiaoling: Why do you like it?
Lily: I like it very much because I like the flowers. They are the Japanese flowers, sakura. They bloom in spring. And at that time, the Japanese sing and dance under the cheery trees.
Xiaoling: That’s wonderful!
Lily: Yes. Which stamp do you like, Xiaoling?
Xiaoling: Oh, I like this Chinese stamp because I like animals. Look, it has a panda on it. Panda is one of the rarest animals in the world. It lives in Sichun, Shanxi and Gansu, China. It eats bamboo.
Lily: I see. And the panda is large. It looks a little clumsy.
Xiaoling: But it is quite lovely.
