    • Analysis of the teaching contents:

    This is the first period of Module Five. The important points are learning the names of some zoo animals and the dialogue of Unit 13. Hopefully the children are interested to learn and can understand and acquire the new words and the dialogue.

    • 德育目标:通过学习本课,学习爱护动物,爱护环境。

    • Analysis of the students

    It’s interesting for the children of Grade 5 who just began to learn animals from Module 2 to concentrate them on studying a long dialogue for a certain long time. The teacher had better use different methods and let the children play different games in order to encourage them to learn with fun.

    • Objectives:

      1. Be able to understand and use the sentence patterns:

    My favourite animal is the _____. / Don’t _____.

      1. Say the new words of the zoo animals.

      2. Read and act the dialogue of Unit 13.

      3. Enjoy playing the games, love the zoo animals and protect them as possible as they can.

    • Language Focus

      1. Vocabulary: panda, bear, polar bear, lion, elephant, giraffe, deer, snake, say, says, forget

      2. Using “My favourite animal is the _____. / Don’t_______.”

    Listening: Be able to listen to the dialogue and to say the new words of the zoo animals.
