    1 Warm-up

    2 Presentation

    T : Today we will talk about some pets.

    First, let’s sing this song together- I have a pet.

    T : Do you like pets?

    St: Yes, I do.

    T : Guoguo and Yangyang also likes animals very much. So they go to the pet shop. They want

    to buy a pet.

    T : look at this picture. What animals can you see?

    St: I can see the cats.

    T : Can you guess where are they? They are in the cat house.

    T : look at the pictures. What animals can you see?

    St: I can see a dog. / I can see a rabbit.

    T : look at this picture. What animals can you see?

    St: I can see dogs. / I can birds.

    T : how many dogs can you see? How many birds can you see?

    St: I can see three dogs. I can see two birds.

    T: where are they? Can you guess?

    St: they are in the dog house.

    T : we can see three pet dogs in the pet shop. What are they?

    St: they are cat/ dog and birds.

    T : I have three words for you. Can you read it?

    St: cat dog bird (on the blackboard)

    T : we can see three animals in the pet shop. Which one do you like best?

    St: I like dog. / bird / cat.

    T : now, I also want to know. What animal does guoguo like? What animal does yangyang like? Can you guess? Let’s listen to the tape.

    T : What animal does guoguo like?

    St: cats and dogs.

    T : listen to the dialogue, pay attention to this sentence.

    So they go to the zoo. What do they see in the zoo?

    St: they see rabbits, tigers, giraffes, lions, zebras, and foxes.

    T : how many animals do they see?

    St: they see three rabbits, two tigers, two giraffes, two foxes, two lions and two zebras.

    T : read after me.

    T : what do they say? Now, I am guoguo. Who is yangyang?

    T : work in pairs, and one is guoguo. The other is yangyang.

    4 Story time

    T : now, it is our story time. First, listen to it carefully.

    T : question1: how many animals in this story?

    St: four.

    T : who are they?

    St: they are hen, dog, cat and pig.

    T : which animal do you like best in this story? Why?

    St: the hen, because she have the bread.

    T : do you want to eat the bread?

    St: yes, I do.

    T : can you help the hen, dog? / cat / pig.

    St: yes, I can.
