    Unit 1 Once upon a time?

    Step 1 Warm-up

    1. QHow do we usually start a fairy tale or a very old story in Chinese/ English?

    2. Ask Ss to read the sentences in Act 1, tell them pay attention to the verb form “lived” and “decided”. We use past tense when we describe something happened in the past.

    3. Ss listen and check the true sentences.

    Step 2 Listening practice

    Students listen to the dialogue and find out the main plot of the story.

     

    Step 4 Retelling

    Ask the Ss to retell the story.

    Step 3 Answer the questions

    Ss find out the answers in Act 4.

    Step 4. Complete the passage with the correct form of the words from the box.

    Ss finish the Ex in Act 5

    Step 5. Pronunciation and speaking

    Play the recording and ask the students to repeat.

     

    Unit 2 Goldilocks hurried out of the house.

    Step 1. Revise the story in Unit One.

    Step 2. Teach the new vocabulary by showing Ss pictures.

    Step 3. Ss read the passage quickly and find out what happened in the story.
