In the 1990s, Peter was in his forties. He was fed up with his boring job and unchanging life and as a consequence, he got addicted to alcohol.

Mary, his little daughter, tried to persuade him of the harm of drinking too much and the benefit of staying sober.

She said in tears, “Dad, you know, no one can take the place of a father, and I rely on you for your warm hug and broad shoulder.”

Peter intended to say something, but Mary continued, “If you keep doing so, it’s quite likely that you’ll be admitted to the hospital and consequently I’ll get into a jam.”

Peter attempted to cut in, but failed again. Mary carried on her long long ‘speech’, “I appreciate your patient listening, dad…”

“But, but…” Peter was still unable to interrupt.

“Could we work out for one hour a day at your convenience? Does it suit you, dad? Isn’t it a good idea?”…

At that moment, Peter was drunk again, this time not with alcohol, but with enormous happiness and immeasurable ecstasy……
