Tiananmen Square is a large city square in the center of Beijing, China, named after the Tiananmen Gate   located to its North, separating (分离的)it from the Forbidden City(紫禁城). Tiananmen Square is the third largest city square in the world. It has great cultural significance(重要意义) as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history. In 2011, a temporary statue was held Tiananmen Square marking(标记) the 90th anniversary(周年纪念) of the Chinese Communist Party(中国共产党).
