Tom woke up at 6.30a .m. he felt ( 紧张 ) nervous at once. He had an English test at 10.30a .m. He didn't prepare for the test because he was playing ICQ. He didn't want to go to school.

    He was thinking of an excuse ( 借口 ).

    Tom's mother came into his bedroom. “Wake up, tom!” she shouted. Tom closed his eyes. “Tom, get up!” she shouted louder.

    “Is that you, Mum?” asked Tom.

    “Yes! You have to get up and go to school now! You'll be late.” she replied ( 回答 ) .

    “Oh Mum!” said Tom sadly.

    “What's the matter, son?” she asked.

    “I can't see you, Mum, I think I'm blind!” said Tom.

    “Blind! How? When?” She was very worried and she wanted to cry.

    “I was studying hard last night. I wanted my English to be better. I felt hot and I had a headache. My eyes were score so I went sleep. I woke up and I couldn't see anything. I'm scared but I must go to school”, said Tom.

    “No! You must stay in bed. I'll take your temperature and get some water. Then I'll take you to hospital,” replied his mother. “Could you give me your cup?”

    Tom picked up the cup and stopped. She looked at him. “How could you see the cup?” she asked.

    “I…I…I feel better. I can see a little now”, said Tom.

    “You aren't blind. Go to school now!” shouted his mother.

    Tom got 32% in his English test. He didn't want to go back home and see his mother!
