Dialogue 2  

Some of the world’s best football players were at the city stadium last night. Tom was there.

Mary:SoTom! Were you at the stadium last night?

Tom:Oh yes. It was lots of fun.

Mary:Where were you when the players came to the airport?

Tom:I was at home. I was watching TV when they came to the airport. All the players were outside the stadium, I cheered. My dad was too.

Mary:What happened then?

Tom:At 8:30, a big bell rang. When the bell rang, we jumped up. We were singing a song when the players came in.

Mary:Wow! Did they play football then?

Tom:Yes, it was very exciting.Then it was time to go home.When I got home, my mum was sleeping.At 11:15, I went to bed, too,but I wasn’t sleeping. I was thinking about football.

Mary:what a night!
