Mary is talking to Ann about a surprise phone call

Mary:Ann! How are you? Did you sleep well?

Ann:Not really. I went to bed at 9:00 pm, but at midnight the phone rang.

Mary:12 o’clock? That’s very late.

Ann:Yes, it is. I was sleeping when I heard a bell. When my mun woke me up, She said, “It’s the telephone. It’s for you.”

Mary:You look happy. Who was it? Tell me!

Ann:Well, it was a teacher from a school in Canada. I wrote a letter to the school.I want to study there. Do you remember?

Mary:Yes, I remember. You’re thinking about Canada all the time.

Ann:Yes, that’s right. I’m going to study English there this summer!

Mary:Well done!That’s great. What did your family do?

Ann:They all cheered! I think they woke up everyone in our building.
