Rules and Regulations for the 20th Dalian International Marathon Race — Procedures for entry

    (1)Age limit:

    a . Marathon and Wheelchair Marathon racers are limited to a range of age from 18 to 55 (born between Jun. 17, 1951 and Jun. 17, 1988), who shall be proven sound in health subject to the physical examination made by a medical organs at county's level and above.

    b. The Marathon Relay and 10km Marathon racers are limited the age over 15 (born before Jun. 17, 1991)

    c. The mini Marathon racers are limited the age over 13 (born before Jun. 17, 1993)

    (2) Heath requirements

    Every racer shall be healthy, have been trained in Marathon or keep exercising running for a long time.

    The people who are in any of the following case are not allowed to take part in the race:

    a. Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;

    b. High blood pressure and cerebrovascular(1) disease;

    c. Myocarditis(2) and other heart diseases;

    d. Coronary artery diseases and severe arrhythmia;

    e. Too high or low blood sugar and diabetes;

    f. Other diseases unsuitable for running

    (3) Method of entry

    a. Entrants can apply in the name of individual or group, but every one shall fill it an individual entry from.

    b. Group entry is allowed in the name of province, city, club, enterprise, public institution, school and etc. Official seal of the group is required as well as every individual entry form.

    c. The number of teenagers for entry to the Mini Marathon is limited to 5,000, but no limit is set on others.

    (4)Charging standard

    a. Domestic entrants (including Hong Kong , Macao and Taiwan ) and local ones: RMB30 per man; Marathon relay: RMB180 per team; Mini Marathon: RMB10 per man. The entry fee shall be paid to the Reception Center of the Organizing Committee.

    b. Foreign countries: the entry fee is USD30 per man and USD50 per relay team. The athlete shall pay the entry fee to the Reception Center of the Organizing Committee when arriving in Dalian .

    (5)Time of entry

    The entrants shall lodge the entry form to the appointed authorities within the period from May 8 to 28 (8:30—17:30 every day). The entry from shall be stamped official seal and attached with certificate of physical examination from approved medical organ.

    (6)Ways of race: The latest rules on track and field sports will be adopted in the race;

    b .There are 3 closing stops: the first is at 21.0975km , closing time 10:30 (2 hours and 30 minutes after starting off); the second at 35km , closing time 12:10 (4 hours and 10 minutes after d starting off); the third at 42.195km , closing time 13:00 (5 hours after starting off)

    c. Wheelchair Marathon and Wheelchair Half Marathon racers shall prepare wheelchairs for themselves;

    d. Racers will be subject to a uroscopy(3) on analeptics
