	Spring Festival
	The oldest and most important festival in China is the Spring Festival. It's also called Chinese New Year.
	People do a lot of things to prepare for Spring Festival. We clean house thoroughly （彻底地） , repay debts, cut hair and buy new clothes. We also decorate （装饰） doors with vertical scrolls of characters （春联） on red paper. It helps us to seek good luck and praise nature.
	On New Year's Eve houses we have a large family dinner. In the south of China people eat rice cake, while in the north the steamed dumpling popular. Most celebrating the festival stay up till midnight.
