 The forgetful man

Long, long ago, a man bought a tortoise from the market.

He kept it in his house. He did not give it any water for a long time because he was forgetful. Later he remembered that there was no water in the house. He thought that the tortoise must be thirsty. There was a river near his house. The man was kind so he took it to the river. He put it into the river to drink water. The tortoise was happy. It swam away and never returned.
