Preparing for a Possible Earthquake

Question:  How to prepare for the sudden earthquake? Is there necessary to prepare for the emergency supplies?

To prevent cabinets or bookshelves from falling during an earthquake, secure them to the wall with inexpensive L-brackets.  These can be purchased at department stores, furniture shops and hardware stores.

Prepare a bag of emergency supplies which should contain a flashlight, candles, a supply of drinking water and food, a first-aid kit, a portable radio, spare batteries, clothes, cash, bank books, important documents, and health insurance certificate. Keep these emergency supplies somewhere that is easily accessible.

City authorities have designated a large parks or vacant lots as shelters in case of emergency.  Please ensure the locations of the shelters nearest to your home and work place.
