Secure or remove any items stored in your garden or on your veranda that are not fastened down (such as potted plants or clothesline poles). Windows can easily be broken by blown objects. If your home or office is equipped with shutters, close them tightly during a typhoon. Electricity, gas, water and telephone services may be affected by a typhoon. Therefore, it is wise to prepare a few emergency supplies for your home or office, such as a flashlight, candles, water and food supply, a first-aid kit and a portable radio with spare batteries.

1. You should go inside, it safe. You shouldn't go outside, it dangerous.
