    How big are blue whales? They can be 31 meters long. They can weigh 136,000 kg. They are bigger than any other animal-even dinosaurs.

    But whales are not fish. They are mammals. This means they breathe air and their babies drink milk. They can stay underwater for an hour. Their 'nose' is on top of their head. They breathe through it.

    What do they eat? They are very big but they don't eat sharks or dolphins. They eat very small fish.

    Do they swim slowly? No, they don't. They can swim 48 kilometers an hour.
