Can elephant run fast?
What else do you know about elephant?It is bigger than a hippo（河马）. It is smaller than a whale. Its neck is shorter than a giraffe’s（长颈鹿）. Its ears are bigger than a penguin’s（企鹅）. It is heavier than a crocodile. It is slower than a hummingbird（蜂雀）. It is not an insect. It is not a reptile. It is the biggest anamal on land. It is an elephant.
An elephant is often four meters tall. It can weigh four tons. An elephant usually moves slowly, but it can go 40 kilometers an hour when it runs fast.
Elephants are the only animals with a long nose called a trunk. An elephant trunk can pick up a tree as heavy as 280 kilograms. It can pick up a peanut that is only four centimeters long.
It is also the mammal with the biggest ears. They are half a meter long. Elephants have two tusks（象牙）. They’re long and white. A tusk can be as long as a person. It can weigh 100 kilograms.
There are two kinds of elephant-African elephants and Asian elephants. They are very strong , very smart and very, very big. -
