Dialogue16
A: Hi, Shelley, going to the football game today?
B: Not to it. I'm planning to watch it on television.
A: Why is that? Do you feel too poor this close to the end of the month?
B: Money is not the problem. I find it easier to follow football on television than in the stadium, when I see the game in person, I feel as if I'm too far away from the action, and I always lose track of the ball.
A: I know just what you mean. Beside, on television, the new cameras(摄像机) they use five you super views of all the players. But there is always so much excitement. People are cheering and shouting when they're there in person. The enthusiasm(热情) is catching and I end up cheering along with everyone else.
B: You're right there. But I'd like to know exactly what I'm yelling(叫喊) for. And if I can't even see who has the ball, I can't get very excited. So I really prefer watching it on television.
A: I see your point. Well, enjoy the game.
B: You, too.
