Dialogue11
Grandma: What are you doing, John?
John: I’m making a birthday chart for our family. When is your birthday?
Grandma: It’s in February. Do you know when I was born?
John: My mother’s birthday is February, too. You are 65 years old. It’s 2005. You were born in 1940, weren’t you?
Grandma: Smart boy.
John: When is Grandpa’s birthday?
Grandma: The day in last month.
John: I got it. It’s in June. Was he born in the 1939?
Grandma: Yes. He is 66 years old.
John: There are three birthdays in June. My birthday is in June. My father’s birthday is in June, too.
Grandma: Actually there are four birthdays in June.
John: Really? Whose birthday is also in June?
Grandma: Your uncle Mike’s.
John: How old is Uncle Mike?
Grandma: He is 2 years younger than your father.
John: Oh, he is 35 years old. When is Aunt Jane’s birthday?
Grandma: Her birthday is in May. Cousin Alice’s birthday is in September.
John: And my little sister is in December. Great! Here’s is the chart.
