一.教学目标：

1、学生能够听、说、读、写本课有关动物的单词。

2、能够借助图片、关键词等基本信息听懂关于动物的话题。

3、能够运用本课所学句型What kind of animal are …? They are ….谈论有关动物的话题。

二.教学重难点：

词汇：

reptile ,bird ,fish ,insect ,mammal ,crocodile ,ostrich ,penguin ,shark ,whale ,butterfly ,hippo, zebra , lion .

句型：

What kind of animal are …? They are ….

They are a kind of ….

难点：认读拼写较难的词汇：reptile , insect ,penguin ,crocodile ,ostrich .

仿照例句说出自己喜欢的动物种类和特点。

教具准备：词卡 图片 PPT

三.教学过程

I 引入课程：

T: Have you ever been to Animal World ? （你曾去过动物园吗?）

Ss:Yes ,I have .

T: What animals did you see there ?

Ss: dog cat, dog ,fish ,monkey ,tiger ,elephant.

Very good !

T: Today , We’ll learn more words about animals .

【 设计意图：设计与本课教学密切相关的问答句，以此自然流畅的引入本节新课的教学。】

Ⅲ. New lesson :

1. Teaching new words

出示ppt图片，What animals did you see at Animal World ?I saw crocodiles. What kind of animal are crocodiles. They are reptiles. 引出并学习新单词：

(crocodile ,reptile ,bird ,fish ,insect ,mammal , ostrich ,penguin ,shark ,whale ,butterfly ,hippo, zebra , lion .)

reptile 生认读音标，试读，师正音，领读，抽查。

mammal同上

crocodile 正音——领读—— （让学生注意字母o的发音的不同之处）

ostrich 领读—分析发音—one by one (注意tr的发音)

penguin 示范读—找好学生读（pen-guin）再检查低层次学生。

butterfly将单词分解butter—fly(强调u的发音)教读，让好学生示范读，开火车，提问。

hippo 领读—解体hi-ppo(竖排读)，检查不同层次学生。

zebra 领读—分析发音—横排读（比较e在reptile的发音不同）

lion ，bird ,fish 领读—分组练习，提问

复习以上单词的发音及汉语意思

同桌互相练习读音及汉语意思的记忆。

找学生读单词检验掌握情况。引导学生在句中操练新单词，巩固单词，练习对话。

【设计意图：在句中出示新单词，以旧句带新词，以新词引出新句子，学习新单词时，给学生以整体输入更利于新词的吸收，同时体现了词不离句，句不离景的教学理念。】

（2）A: What animals did you see at Animal World ?

B: I saw crocodiles.

A: What kind of animal are crocodiles.

B: They are reptiles.

替换动物和动物种类的词做对话练习。

（3）拓展听读：学生利用听读与本课相关的听读材料。

【设计意图：设计听读环节以拓展学生词汇量，提升表达能力，为下面的表达做准备。】

（4）I like ostriches. They are a kind of bird . They are tall . They can run. (方法： 是示范表达，引导学生换词练习，提问。)
