Tom's holiday

Tom is speaking to Mr Jones, his English teacher.

Mr Jones:   Hello, Tom. The school holiday is starting on Friday.  

                  What will you do ?

Tom :         I'm not sure, Mr Jones. My family might go on holiday.

Mr Jones:   Where will you go?

Tom :         I'm really not sure. My father said he wants to visit 

                 his cousin in Shanghai. We might go there.

                 My mother  wants to visit her old classmate in

                 Tianjin.We might go  there.

Mr Jones:  Where is Tianjin?

Tom :        Tianjin is near Beijing. My mother's friend says it's 

                 snowing there now. I've never seen snow. Have you?

Mr Jones:   Yes, I have. It usually snows in winter in  English. 

                  Where do you want to go on  holiday, Tom?

Tom :          I haven't been to Daliancity. My classmate,  Tony, has 

                  been there many times.He said  that it's the most beautiful

                 city in China.  I want to go there too.

Mr Jones:   Do they have a football team in Dalian?

Tom :         Yes! They have the best team in China. My  father said 

                 they are better than Manchester  United. Dalian plays well 

                 but they might not beat Manchester United.

Mr Jones:   Right. What's the weather like there?

Tom :          I think it's very cold. The weather report on TV said it's snowing

                   there at  the moment.

Mr Jones:  You have many plans. Which one will you choose?

Tom :         My father said we might choose my plan must do  my best in 

                 my English exam.

Mr Jones:   I'm glad you said that. You got 96% in your English exam.

                  That's your best mark ever. I think your father will be happy.

Tom :        Thank you, Mr Jone! Dalian will have an extra fan next week.
